Some users just want to install the driver only, and do not want to install the utility 'REALTEK USB Wireless LAN Utility'. Then users will manage the Wi-Fi connection with the default Windows utility instead of the 'REALTEK USB Wireless LAN Utility'.

1)Remove the USB Wi-Fi Adapter from your PC.
2)Remove all other USB devices from your PC except keyboard and mouse.
3)Uninstall the driver and utility you have installed for USB Wi-Fi Adapter.
4)Restart your computer.
5)Remove the following files and directory in your computer if they exist. (Or, you can rename them to keep.)
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\rtwlanu.sys
C:\Program Files\Realtek
C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\USB Wireless LAN Driver
C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\USB Wireless LAN Utility
6)Close all unnecessary utility.
7)Disable the firewall including Windows Defender.
8)Download the latest driver from the following URL and run the setup.exe.
