Shenzhen, China — Cudy has released new firmware for WR1300 and WR3000, adding support for the Captive Portal feature. This enhancement allows users to customize the login experience, reinforce branding, and even set up paid Wi-Fi.
WR1300 and WR3000 users can download the firmware from the support pages and upgrade their devices following the instructions on the configuration page. If you are looking for ways to log in to the config page, please refer to 'How to log into the web interface of Cudy Router?'
Cudy users of AP products, including AP1300, AP3000, AP1200 Outdoor, AP1300 Outdoor, AP3000 Outdoor, and RE1200 Outdoor, can now activate the captive portal feature by pairing their devices with a WR1300 or a WR3000 with the captive portal feature turned on. Other Cudy devices under RE or AP mode will also enable captive portal when connected to the router.
The Cudy router comes embedded with five captive portal providers, and the setup process is quite simple. After creating an account with the providers listed below, users can input the configuration value on the Cudy router’s configuration page to enable the captive portal. You can interact with the UI in the Emulator of WR1300.
- HotspotSystem
- Iron Wi-Fi
- ObiFi
- VulaCoin
- net
- Manual

Our technical support has contacted you via email. Please check.
“@SupportCudy
Thank you for your response.
The Cudy M1300 is my primary and default network device for my business, so having a Captive Portal is essential for managing guest access. Also, the M1300’s aesthetic design enhances the professional look of my business space, making it the ideal choice. Since the WR1300 has this feature and both models have similar specs, it would be great if you could add it to the M1300 as well."

Dear Robiul,
Thank you for contacting Cudy support team.
The reason is we think M1300 mainly used in home environment, doesn’t need this function. So we don’t add it to M1300. Do you need it? Why?
“The Cudy M1300 mesh router has almost the same specs compression to Cudy Wr1300. So why the M1300 didn’t have Captive portal where Wr1300 has it already?”
